Traditional village in the south west of France
The villages in the south west are superb and old to wish. North of Toulouse, if you go in the Tarn, you will visit Rabastens with its superb church and its traditional streets; You will also discover the very beautiful village of Castelnau de Montmiral near Gaillac. Its mansions exude a charm. Look at the name of the street: a small clien to our former Minister of Economy, Cahuzac.
Religious Culture in the South West
In the heart of the medieval city of Castelnau you will see many traces of the religious culture and past piety (perhaps still present) of the inhabitants. The crosses are everywhere and testify to the way of life of the inhabitants.
Church of Our Lady of the Assumption of Castelnau de Montmiral
The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption is magical. It was built in the 15th and 16th century. Several times modified, she will give you a painted vault. The scenes present biblical passages with Mary. (© Photos by E. Buchot)
