Rouen and its half-timbered houses
With its 113,000 inhabitants, Rouen is a medium-sized city. It is the 35th largest city in France. It has developed on both sides of the Seine. On the right bank is the historical center of Rouen. It is very wide and completely pedestrian. Neighborhoods date back to medieval times. One of the oldest is the Gros Horloge. It dates from the 13th century. I invite you to spend a good weekend in this beautiful city.

Colors of Rouen
When you visit Rouen, you will be amazed by the colorful side of the city. The medieval part located on the right bank and stretching from the abbey church Saint Ouen to the place Jeanne d'Arc is composed of half-timbered houses painted wood. The geometric patterns are very different from one house to another. Really beautiful and unique in France. (© Photos by E. Buchot)
